INTRODUCTION
From 25th to 30th of July, I went to Taiwan, my long-awaited holiday trip! :D

Heading towards Changi Airport.
We're almost there!!
We reached Taipei in the evening. After dumping down our luggages in our hotel room, we flew to Xi Men Ding! :D
I got to eat duck tongues! It looks a little gross at the beginning but the taste is quite alright. It tastes a little like chicken feet. 
Then we tried cold Tang Yuans. There are several flavours: strawberry, red bean, sesame and green tea! Yummylicious!! :D=

The next thing we tried: Puffy Hotdogs.
It looks delicious but really, there's no need to try it. It doesn't taste fantastic.
Look at that slight grin of the man selling hotdogs. He thinks I'm taking pictures of him. Sorry lor, I am taking a picture of the street. You're the "backdrop" huh. 
This is the very famous Ah Zong Mian Xian located at Xi Men Ding.

But the stall was very efficient. We got our big bowl of Mee Suah in less than five minutes. (Mum got it while I was busy snapping away.)
After eating some stuff, we went to shop around.

The famous train station where the "red umbrella" scene of Devil Beside You took place. The second female lead and the second male lead waited for a pedestrian with a red umbrella to appear so that they can be together. Ah duh.
Some red-headed girls screaming girly "Jiayou"s. I think they are playing some game. The girls in Taiwan are so.... gentle.
She has a doll which looks exactly like her. Wahahahahaaa.. cute!
A pet pig spotted along the streets. Ahem, not very adorable.
I insisted on trying some ice, so we got ourselves one pathetically small cup of starfruit ice.

We went to a stall called San Xiong Di. (Three brothers in Chinese)
We got ourselves two bowls of dessert. One with Ai Yu (a kind of jelly) and Fen Yuan (what we call "pearls" in Singapore) and the other one has yam and tapioca balls in it.
Look at the satisfied expressions.
The most special part of San Xiong Di is the messy walls. People just sign or draw in whatever way they like. Cool huh? I wanted to draw something but mum thinks that it'll be rubbed off in no time. :(
I wanted very much to take a picture of the green signboards. I tried plenty of times and finally got one successfully! Wee! 
My photographic skills seem to be improving! I took a lot of pictures from the tour bus okay! :D Or rather, my baobei2 is good because someone else's camera tends to take lousy pictures. Hahahahahahahaaa...
Looks like a dog peeing by the roadside. Hmm. 
We finally arrived at our first tourist attraction: 野柳 (Ye Liu).
We were told not to go too near to the sea as it can get really dangerous.

The scenery is just breathtaking and all I did was to keep snapping. Haa! :P

Apparently, holding onto the umbrella did not spoil my mood for photo-taking.
It was drizzling, by the way.
He is a much admired character in Taiwan. Chiang Kai Shek had a bungalow (content not 100% correct as Cindy might be stoning in the tour-bus while the tourguide is explaining) built for his family due to his deeds. His wife was very grateful towards CKS and kneeled when she went for his funeral.
Well, if you don't know, this place tends to rain all year round. Are the gods up there upset about the fisherman's death?
As you can see, our hair is flying in all directions and we're holding onto umbrellas. It's a chore to take pictures while holding onto the umbrella.
